Kincaid's Site

Who Is Kincaid?

"Kincaid," who created this site, is a socialist living in the American Midwest. For his day job, he is an attorney, and he also has long-standing interests in history, archaeology, and photography.

He takes his nom de guerre from "Cairbre Cinn Cait" (every source spells that name a little differently), the first recorded Irish rebel, who led the peasants of Ireland in a great revolt against their oppressors in the first century, C.E. The story is that the peasants, under Kincaid's leadership, prepared a great feast for the aristocracy at a place called "Magh Crogh." Then, as soon as the aristocrats were good and drunk, the peasants rose up and slaughtered them all. (Hey, we never said it was a nice story.)

This site -- which is always under construction -- has two main purposes. First, we want to provide people with high-quality links to sources of information and opportunities for participation. Rather than just throwing long lists of links at our visitors, we hope to include annotations and analysis to help them find what will be most useful in their own quests. Second, we want to provide our visitors with analysis helping them see how their personal interests relate to the larger political struggle for global democracy.

So please look around. If you know of resources we should include, please feel free to drop us a line.
